Matt is a co-founder of Aloterra and most recently served as the CEO of Aloterra. As an owner, Matt still advises Aloterra on overall strategy and financial matters. Matt has nearly 15 years' experience in project development, logistics, facility operations and financial analysis, including five years as President of Blendstar LLC, a company he co-founded to develop and operate a network of renewable fuels terminals. During his tenure at Blendstar, Matt was instrumental in bridging the gap in renewable fuels distribution by developing numerous renewable fuels terminals for the transloading of product from rail to truck.
Prior to Blendstar, he assisted in the formation of Griswold Energy Partners to develop refined fuels procurement programs for large, unbranded customers. The programs that Matt helped establish were based upon work done at Griswold Capital Management, a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), to trade futures utilizing computer models.
Matt held positions within Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago, most recently as an associate portfolio manager where he managed individual stock and bond accounts for private clients and handled $400 million in assets for more than 150 clients.
Matt received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
